Jasper has been writing music since the age of eight, when he was a chorister at Oxford, most of the music he composed at this time was for the choir and performed at the Cathedral. In 1986 he continued to study music at the King's School, Canterbury and due to his education in classical music, was composing concert music for orchestral ensembles.

In 1987 Jasper won the title of Kent Young Composer of the Year and received commissions to write for various touring ensembles. His pieces were performed at Canterbury Cathedral and at the University of Kent.

Jasper's style of writing diversified greatly when he began his music degree at City University and The Guildhall School of Music and Drama where he studied Jazz, World Music and electro-acoustic styles. In 1991 Jasper received his first commission to write for television, a signature tune for a jazz/cookery programme 'The Jazz Kitchen' for a Channel Four production scored for jazz ensemble. In 1994 he was invited to compose incidental music for a BBC documentary 'The Giant Awakes' and his job was to take traditional Japanese music and transform it into a more 'western style'.

Jaspers interest for music in relation to the moving picture intensified, and on leaving University he attended the London International Film School's Music to Film Course where he wrote the soundtracks to three films which were premiered there. Jasper have been writing for Amphonic Music for four years and examples of his work can be heard on the 'Neo-Classical', 'Pastoral Impressions' and 'Christmas' albums which have been used on various GMTV productions in the UK and licensed abroad.

He is currently working as a Musical Director for theatrical and corporate events and has written the accompanying music for several previous productions, some of which have been televised.
